At the February 8, 2021 membership meeting, a motion was moved, seconded and carried to develop a change to the “Pass the Hat” policy during COVID 19 restrictions.
A member chosen for pass the hat will have their name posted on the Local 30 website following the monthly meeting in which they were approved for pass the hat, and their name will be removed on the Friday before the following month’s membership meeting. If more than one member is added to pass the hat, funds will be divided equally.
Members wanting to donate to pass the hat fund must call the office during business hours. PAYMENT MAY BE PROCESSED WITH A CREDIT CARD OVER THE PHONE, OR THE MEMBER MAY COME TO THE OFFICE TO PAY CASH OR CHECK (made payable to Carpenters LU 30). ONLINE PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED FOR A PASS THE HAT DONATION!! Office personnel will record all donations to make sure there is no confusion between donations and dues payments.
Before the next general membership meeting the office will inform LU 30’s President of the funds collected.
